I would suggest that you be honest w/them. You don't know if the W is still in the picture or if they are seeing each other regularly. I would suggest that they ask their father about that.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
