I think it would be very hard to pick out HD people from the general population. For instance, because of my situation, when an attractive man smiles at me in the checkout line at the grocery store, my reaction is to put on a stony sort of librarian face and take a sudden deep interest in the copy of Martha Stewart on the rack in front of me.
Also, even among single people it would generally be hard to sort HD from LD because I think HD people are probably just as likely to be shy as the general population and there are probably a lot of outgoing, bubbly LD types.
There is probably some body language that might be revealing. One of my first boyfriends used to tease me because I unconsciously move or rub my feet together in rhythmic way much of the time. He said it was a sign of horniness. Interestingly,this is one of my LDH's pet peeves, it drives him crazy (not in a good way) when we're watching tv together and my feet start moving.
