Glad to hear that your kids are giving you some smiles. I am sorry that everything else continues to be a struggle. Best wishes are you head toward your birthday and Valentine's Day. Days that are supposed to be celebratory are really tough.
Continue as you have been. She's going to be angry for quite some time and when she starts being nice, you will need to stay on your toes. They flip flop from angry to nice and back again if they don't get what they want.
I think you are doing well in shutting those pesky conversations down.
