Female bowerbirds/cheetahs/gorillas/wild horses/coyotes do not attempt to get male bowerbirds/cheetahs/gorillas/wild horses/coyotes to court them if they do not want them.

My advice is to stop feeling sorry for yourself.

I say that as someone who feels very sorry for herself.

But on the other hand,

no one is feeling sad that I am not making him feel wanted.

So you are way farther along.

You are allowed to enjoy the pursuit.

I know without any expectations and all the LBS precautions, it's confusing.

But it seems like every high school boy's dream, to get to pursue with no expectations.
