Hi Ellie, Small world, Huh. My mom's family is French Canadian, too. This is where the supposed "Native American" blood comes in, too. My Maternal Grandmother's people started in Canada and then worked their way down to Wisconsin. I still don't know about the weekend, but I will keep you posted.

Gee, since we're so "inbred", maybe we're cousins?!!
My grandparents were from Kankakee, Illinois. I have a complete genealogy of grandpa's family, traces back to Canada and then back to France in the late 1700's. All peasants the entire way back!
Had a fabulous weekend in San Francisco with my H. When we got to our hotel, they told us we had been "upgraded" - still don't know why or how - but they ended up putting us in this enormous suite with a dining room and an office! I think it was bigger than our first house!
Had lunch with some DB divas - Bridget and Pam (phd) - beautiful, vibrant, and interesting women - it was great (missed you SG - how was your orienteering?).
Now, back to reality - back in the trenches with D13 and her eating disorder. Got to keep my PMA going.
Sorry I missed you and the otherrs. Orienteering was fun on Saturday, but Sunday was a complete waste of time. If I had a time machine I would go back and cancel the class and go to SF instead.
How nice you got the upgrade on the room, though! I hope the weekend left you relaxed enough to deal with your D. Who watched the kids while you were gone? Oh well. I think we will hook up one of these days. Have a great Monday, SG

HI Ellie,
Was great to meet you!!! Glad you enjoyed your stay in SF and your birthday celebration! Good luck with the family challenges!
I have not decided yet, but there is a huge fitness conference in San Diego in July-- I may go--just trying to work out the finances and such--so if I do, we'll have to have another get together!
Pam
That would be great, Pam! Hope it's not the last weekend in July - I think I'm going to a conference on eating disorders in Las Vegas then. (Maybe we can sneak out and egg the OW's car? Just kidding)
