Thanks for checking in. Well, things went well if you can call anything like that going well.
When he left last night he gave me a hug and said "cheer up" I just looked at him, and he laughed and said I didn't know what else to say. We laughed. We still seem close. I hope that lasts. I do value his friendship. Probably more now after this test of fire than I did before.
