The actress is called Julie Walters and is one of our best character actors. She started out as a comedian and is very well known over here. Another film of hers worth watching is "Billy Elliot" a story about a lad from a gritty northern mining town during the year long strike of 1984 who becomes a ballet dancer against the odds.

It's good but don't get too excited about it Tim. It's interesting for me because it is based near where my W was born. It shows a rather stereotypical view of northern English predjudice.

Tuesday 8pm
I finished PM today after a long reading session then felt compelled to clear out my wardrobe and all my books. I took a sackfull of old clothes and shoes I will never wear again and my pile of old magazines and books including SSM and PM to the recycling depot. I genuinely believe that I can now stand on my own. I am tempted to leave this forum and go it alone for a while but the wrench of leaving you all may prove too great. Last Saturday I took my W to the airport and in one hour I will collect her. She will be as cool as usual but I will not feel disappointed or needy. I have grown these last four days on my own.

Dave, I applaud your new feeling of empowerment, but I can just about guarantee you will regret getting rid of PM so quickly. I know I am going to read it again and again, and refer back to it as I grow. It's not so much "being needy" as it is "getting reinforcement" as well as "finding new insights". I missed a WHOLE lot the first time I read it...

DON'T PITCH PM!!!!! I'm re-reading it and I'm finding myself underline completely new things. It has a completely different meaning when you refer back to it after a few months.

Too late AD.
I tried to read some of it again but I couldn't because it's too wordy for me. If there was a version a quarter of the size it would be a lot better. In reality I get more useful info from you and Tim because you pull out the important bits. I got the message in the book and now it's up to me. Also not having the books means W can't read them and I am not tempted to suggest to her that she reads them (a highly fused thing to do). If she really needs to she can buy her own. She has an Amazon account.
