From time to time I notice couples who obviously have got it right. In the pub last night was a middle aged couple sitting together who were clearly completely relaxed with each other. The woman had her arms around his arm which was resting in her lap. From time to time she kissed him or they spoke to each other. They were completely oblivious to the poeple milling around them. I thought to my self "That's what I've always yearned for" but realistically I think that both people have to be of the same relaxed personality to get that far. A couple of weeks ago I was standing in a cinema queue and another middle aged couple were also waiting. They were standing facing each other talking. Spontaneously the man (who was relatively tall) kissed his wife on the forhead and she then gently put her arms right round him and rested her head on his shoulder as if it really belonged there and they stood there for ages. I had not read "Hugging until relaxed" at that time or I would have seen even more significance in it. I remember thinking just how lucky in love some people are. SD
