Awesom to hear G, sounds like it was a great trip even though all the activities may not have panned out. I went to Niagra with my family way back when, the boat ride was really cool, being so close and witnessing the power of nature, hard to believe that goes on 24 X 7, my brain has a hard time accepting that concept, similar to when I try and think about the amount of space in outer space... Did you do the walk under the falls on the American side? I remember that being pretty cool too, even standing under the very edge of the falls seemed a bit overwhelming.
As for the housing sitch, does the option of saying no allow you to finish out the lease? It would be nice to get an amount worthy of a down payment on a new place, but I would be surprised if it would be more than 50% of the remaining contract.. Although I hope it turns out that you can get more.
