I'm going to see if this will post from the Quick Reply once I "Switch to Full Reply Screen".

You may want to try doing what I just did for the time being. Hopefully, it will work for you.

Let's keep trying different things because someone has to have the key to this mystery.

Just letting you know that I can post with punctuation. It's weird isn't it?

I'm using Chrome, either on an iMac or a Windows machine. The only time it's been a problem has been when I've tried to copy/paste into Quick Reply.

The 3 problem characters for me are colon, quote, and apostrophe.

Can copy and paste from other programs into quick reply box and submit successfully.

Using iPad with safari coping from mail. Have used windows computer with Firefox coping from outlook. Direct typing has work also.

So far avoiding those three characters has worked for me.

EUREKA!!!! - Figured out how to restore posts

The OP posted something, but his post is empty. What's really odd is you can click on Quick Quote (but not Quote) and it "reappears". I did that and replied, and my reply is empty as well.

I then copied and pasted the text into a reply and that is also empty.

Then I replied again and removed the quote code, but it's still empty. So then I replied and simply typed Testing. That showed up.

I'll set up a test account so you can login and see what's going on. Send me email to get the login info:

Those people having disappeared posts need to remove contractions with the symbol that makes it a contraction!!!

I used Gerda's thread as a test. I went to the posting that was blank and hit quick quote and her posting appeared, but it was then posted as a quoted item under my name.

Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to.
The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.

You need to make the corrections to FIX it from coming out blank - like removing the quotes or apostrophes.

Yes of course it is going to have the quote HTML which you should remove.
