KK,

Quote:

focus on the good. no matter HOW SMALL you may think those goods are in your life. even if it's the shelties, even if it's that it's a beautiful day. think of how much better off you are in life because you have the ability to pet your dogs, hug them, your not confined to a bed.

you can enjoy a cool spring breeze and see a beautiful spring flower, that your world is not full of the darkness that a blind person has

be thankful that you are not confined to a wheelchair without the use of your legs - you can enjoy a walk in the park

You did an excellent job of explaining this, it makes perfect sense to me anyways!! Everybody, I mean everybody should be so very thankful for everything they have in their lives. The opposite sex is just a piece of the wonderful life, and the goal should not be the piece that's missing, BUT a wonderful life and to be thankful for every day that we get!! If at some point that piece IS found, well what a beautiful world!

Do I make sense?

Hi Cal,

You don't know how good the affirmation from you that I am doing well feels to me!

You, Sage and Shiny know me from when I first joined the bb.

I think I am slipping up less often, and I am very much actively trying to do better.

You know it feels very different, and good to be more in control of yourself, just gives you a bit more confidence.

I do wish I could have saved our marriage. I feel we have progressed a long ways in our communication just in the past month or so. Been more respectful of one another and the friendship in a way feels closer than it has in a while.

He is also letting me keep Frostbyte, said he did a lot of crying and debating over that one. I said you don't ever want to see him again? He said, no, he wants to be able to come over all the time and visit FB.

Still working on that future. It is fuzzy at the moment. But am hoping I am seeing some clearing in it since I got through that dark spell this week.

Thank you for everything Cal. You have been great through all of this mess, for a year now!

I gave saving our marriage a try to the best that I was able as I progressed with my personal growth?

I don't have the hang of this too good yet Kitti.

Things I enjoy:

Watching the joy on my 15 and a half year old Breeze, with kidney problems, hearing almost gone, cataracts getting worse, but the joy on her face when her and I go to the barn to feed the kitties.

Cuddling with the shelties.

Watching the interactions among them, I had never really paid that much attention to it before. But Breeze doesn't always come in with the rest so I leave the gate open and go back and check on her, of course all the other shelties go with me, but if she doesn't see us at the door Shimmer always goes out, touches her and comes back in.

Breeze greeting me at the back door when I get home from work in the evenings.

Sunrises and sunsets.

Visiting with friends.

Reading a good book.

Satisfied feeling when I get something accomplished, especially if I have been putting it off.

Trying to keep reminding myself to note things I enjoy as I am doing them and then write them out so I can look at them.
