Yes, my W feels awkward at gatherings now...that is why she is so uncomfortable eith the trips to visit my family. See, the thing is that my W has always done more with my family than her own...no pun intended.
Aside from her mom, her family is not that into visitors, outings, even holidays. As an example, her sisters will not even drive 2 hours to be together for Thanksgiving.
