Hi Pam!

Well, I attended the first of 2 classes in self-defense.

Last night's session was a lecture.

I came away from it feeling like I had handled the situation I had been in (with co-worker Mike) well.

So, that was good.

There were mostly college students in the audience.

When the officer asked us if Rape was a 'deadly force situation'. I was the only one who answered with a very firm "YES."

So, I am glad to see that I feel so strongly about it. It helps me believe that my strong feelings will help me defend myself if such a situation arises in the future.

I am looking forward to the 2nd part of the class. The officer dresses up in armour and we get to beat on him.

Should be fun!

Thanks for asking Pam!

Hugs!

i have seriously considered going to a self defense class - but i have always been a wimp when it comes to physical stuff...LOL

ok pib, i just wanted to clue you in that starting monday of this week i have gotten RE-SERIOUS about my weight. i made a goal with myself to walk 15 minutes a day for one week, then every week there after add time in five minute increments until i am walking an hour a day

i have gotten back serious on atkins, but with a new twist...i am sticking to 20 - 30 carbs a day, but keeping my calories between 1200 - 1500 - just to give it that extra UMPH

i have lost 3 pounds since monday! WOO HOO

how are you doing with the weight watcher thing???

It is so awesome to see all of you guys focusing on yourselves! My H and I are embarking on a fitness program together, and i can't wait to get into exercising again!

Here's to all of us making ourselves into the sparklingly beautiful and vivacious women that we have always been underneath!

Kitti Kat!

You have thrown the gauntlet down!

Ok..starting today is my getting re-serious day!

It's funny that you are cutting calories with your Atkins...as I've come to the realization that I'm still have binges brought on by bready sorts of carbs. So, I did well the first week by staying away from breads..but the second week, I had the pizzas and found myself going above target daily.

So...a little calorie cutting your way of eating..and a little bit of carb cutting in my way of eating.

Hey, these don't look too different! Lol!

Hey, I love the idea of walking 15 min and adding 5 to reach an hour!

I will do the same, but in my pool. I've always wanted to do pool jogging...and now, I can!

Ooo...Kitti Kat..I love a friendly competition/support system!

Hugs!
