Tecnically she doesnt have a key......but she knows the code to the garage nad I have not changed it yet. I did separate our accounts though so she now has her own money. I have been toying with doing it however since our children are young and she has only come over to get something for them (bathing suits or something like that...she is a teacher and off for the summer) I haven't done it. She has never shown up randomly with me in it or in the middle of night for a quick boink .

New thread time, but I just had to mention that when my W moved out she poured half of the dishwasher soap into a different bottle to take with her. NO I AM NOT JOKING.
I didn't change the garage code (it was programmed into the visor on W's car), I just asked her to let me know if she was planning on coming over, and asked her to knock on the door so I could let her in. Honestly it was a boundary that was kind of inconvenient because we were shuttling the kids back and forth all the time, so before long we agreed to text, then knock and enter. We still do it now all these years later (the two D's are moved out but we still take S14 back and forth). Once S starts driving I imagine the house visits will pretty much stop, but for now it works for us.
