I got there around 9:40 after stopping for the chocolate milk for the grandkids. C had some Texas Toast for me. While I was eating I told her about my making an offer to buy a house. She was very supportive and as I was eating at the counter she came up beside me and gave me a little hug and a peck on the cheek. After the toast, we started boxing up all my cups, glasses and some pots and pans from the kitchen. That took till almost noon. C had to take the Grandkids to meet her son and asked me to go along for the ride. After we got back we tackled the bedroom and took the dresser, desk bed and night stand to the basement. While we were standing in the door to the bedroom C asked me if she could have a hug and I said ok. And she really gave me a good hug then looked me in the eye and gave me a really nice kiss squarely on the lips (way more that a peck) - that kinda took me by surprise.
By then it was getting close to 2:30 and she had to be to a friend’s (lady friend’s) birthday party by three and she changed to a Business Dress casual outfit then asked me how she looked. I told her she looked great but she asked me if the pants suit being all black and then she said she was going to change again. She came back with the same pants but a yellow print blouse with a flower design. I told her that it looked really great and that the design made her look slimmer. She thanked me and then gave me another hug and little kiss and left for the party. I went to the office supply store to get a new router for her computer network and then came back and fixed up the network again. After getting the network up and running I then took down all the other boxes and stuff to the basement as she was coming back.
She said there were too many people there and not enough room and so she put in her appearance and said her “hi’s” to the guest, she came home. After resting some, I showed her all her computers and how all of her computers were connected to the main computer and database. We then went out to the shed to look at the tools and determined which ones will go with me and which ones will stay. After reviewing all this she suggested that we go get a bite and we settled on Mexican and Margariettas. While we were eating the chips and salsa, I notice that she was kinda staring out the window with a thoughtful look and I said “you look like you are deep in thought somewhere. After a few seconds of looking out the window she looked at me and said that she was thinking of some of the things she missed about me and I asked “What things?” She said like earlier when I told her that the blouse made her look slimmer. Then she said “do you know how long it has been since anyone.....” She choked up and did not finish the sentence.
We then continued with an interesting talk in which she shed several tears and made statements like “if we get back together you would never forgive me” and “I have hurt you so much and I don’t want to hurt you any more” and If we get back together, you mother would never forgive me” I let her know that I have already forgiven her and that forgiveness is something I do for me so that I can move on and not carry hate around for the rest of my life.
After our dinner and getting back to her place we sat and talked some and then ended up with some heavy “smooching”. I sensed that she wanted me to stay the night as she asked me what office I had to be at in the morning, but instead she said that we should plan on some time together as in spending the night. And she said that she knew that I still desired her and she said she still desired me a lot and that it would be easy to just hop into bed together. She then said “REAL easy”. I responded, “Sex is not everything in a relationship, after all one can have sex with anyone but it takes a lot more to have a good relationship. She did not answer but rather just leaned over and kissed me.
There was more hugging and kissing as I left.
Well, it was a long day and I likely left some details out but this is the jist. Needless to say, it was not what I expected. But it was a very pleasant surprise.
