Unfortunately though OW (boss daughter) is H age and has a son our oldest age. So she is a mom. Kind of makes it more shitty since she knows I have a newborn.
1) it took me awhile to let h manage our son as h needed to. Your h will learn. I know some babies like rocking, some like that gentle swinging thing and some like a modest little bouncy movement. We get to know each other and I now, truly believe that only by the mom exiting the area can the father figure out what works for THEM.
Your baby boy is not in danger and even if it took your h an HOUR to stop the baby from crying, the baby will survive!
Globally speaking, I mean, the baby won't grow up to be a mafioso Because of "the time daddy didn't" rock him right, or change him fast enough or yada yada. It's hard but truly you will have to back off how h does things b/c you know, he knows too...
And though I lactate just thinking about it, that's what ear phones are for. Get some. God knows my H wore them in medical school/residency - for years - when I had our d28 and s31 was a toddler - oh and I was a full time defense attorney in the Army.
Good times! (H forgot those...maybe your h did too, but NOW he remembers!!...) It was still nice to have h at home even if he wasn't really present, but in case something wacky happened, there was (kind of) an adult nearby.

PLUS T0, regardless of that hideous woman, OMG any form of r with that woman soooo won't last. She has a 9 y/o son. Guess who won't be crazy about a demanding baby competing for his mom's time ?
