I'm sorry it's come to this, but some of they do remain in that "comfort zone" that they have known for a very long time and let's face it...it takes a lot of hard work to break free from those chains of unhappiness, etc.
I think you have a good attitude and moving forward is the best course for you and yes, even for your girls. You will be amazed at what life has to offer once you drop the rope and begin focusing on you for a change.
