When you’re surfing the net you keep getting those annoying popup ads that you have to click away. Yahoo has a free popup killer that takes the irritation away.
I got to thinking...
I'm a bit of a comedian. I tell a lot of bad jokes, plays on words, make comments about everything especially TV soap plots and sing a lot. I do it to make the house a happy place (and because I can’t help it). My W thinks I’m “Childish” and my D16 thinks I’m “Stupid”. This SSM project has got me thinking about all of my quirks of behavior because what I do (who I am) isn’t working, right? If I look at my jokes and comments from another’s point of view they are no more than meaningless “Popups” that get clicked away with a “Don’t be so childish” or a “Dad, you’re stupid”. From now on when I feel a popup coming on I’m going to suppress it no matter how difficult it is to do. Do you hear what I’m saying hairdog?

SD, I hear you, but I don't necessarily agree with you. My annoying popups amuse all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time. I don't expect them to amuse all of the people all of the time. Why should I deny what I consider to be a part of my personality, just because it annoys somebody some of the time? My advice to them is, lighten up, or ignore it.

Of course, if I ran around the house screaming at my children about low cost herbal alternatives to Viagra, or how to get larger breasts or a longer unit, or ...you get my drift.

My popups are fun and light and, yes, I think they make the house a happier place. They certainly amuse me.

Hairdog, who calls his DD8 "Squirt", because, if you get her laughing hard enough, she's pees a bit.

My good friend has 2 mantras about humor.

1. Always go for the joke (except when woefully inappropriate).

2. As long as you find it funny, then it was a good joke.

You just know that I have to chime in on this one. My very sick mind at work, or deprived body, you decide....

The first thing that came to my mind when you mentioned popups was definately NOT advertisements.... Ladies, anyone else with the same reaction?
