A.P., perhaps use one of those giant bands they use for yoga/physical therapy. I had one of those break once during an exercise and it slapped me quite hard right in the face. I, too, will be home (alone) for NYE. Well, my chances of getting killed by a drunk driver are greatly reduced!!
