Hi Kitti,
Know what you mean about not posting as much. I do the same. You're in good company when it comes to processing those infamous anniversaries. Much journalling has been done on it ... Lostlove, Shiny, Jeaninne, Tal ... to name a few. No getting around it, its part of the healing process. Either you can pick at the scab, which reopens the wound or you can put a bandage over it so it continues to heal. That's what overlaying the old hurtful memories with newer better memories does.

Sometimes those scabs can itch pretty intensely. If it get to compelling to want to scratch just let me know. I'm at your disposal to hold you down so you can't reach the itch.

OK I'd better stop ... Its late and I'm getting groggy.

'til later,
KAW

Hi KK - Just wanted to stop by and say thank you for your sharing your experience and perspective at Central Perk a couple of days ago, it helped me heal a little bit of my hurt. And have quoted it for another friend too

Have a great holiday I'll try to catch up on your story while you are away, I feel there is much more I can learn here. Slowly

I'm still laughing at Slowly's reference to Central Perk. I hope to goodness you're enjoying the java, Kitti, because I'm going to push you over the edge before your trip to VA Beach....

Marianne is the author of the book that I'm reading now--that our buddy Triple J recommended. Damn, is he an enlightened guy or what? He's so in tune with his feminine side--giving guys hugs in Spandex, acting like Hans and Franz, and working hard at keeping his world title of Mr. Positivity.

It is a really insightful book. Thanks to Marianne, I will NEVER jump up and down to get a man's attention ever again. Merrick said I look like a redheaded Sharon Stone, so if that's true (which I'm still doubled over in laughter at that reference), the guy is gonna have to do the jumping to get my eye.

Besides, I gotta work on remaining mysterious... right?

As far as your trip goes, I hope you have a marvelous time!!! Give all my DBing friends hugs: ones I haven't met (and please include yourself among them) and ones I have too.

I'll chat with you tomorrow. And you BETTER be online.

Uhm, I'm not really sure to take this as a compliment or not. But I guess I will.

At least until I start reading Wild at Heart.

Betsey, what's the title of the book? She seems to have authored so many! And why won't you jump up and down to get a man's attention again?

I love Marianne Williamson's work. She has a very soothing voice, too, so I've enjoyed listening to her works on tape.

One of her books "A woman's worth" -- I place on my list of 5 pivotal books.

"A return to love" is also great.

Here's a wonderful quote from that book (it's often incorrectly attributed to Nelson Mandela -- he's said lots of wonderful and insightful things but he didn't say this one...Ms. Williamson did!):

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. "
