I was just in the middle of a little post about my date and I saw that. You get the full, uncut version tomorrow.
First, you are the best big bro for being the one to save me if I needed it.
The date was great. He got out of his car and I was like "woah, he's hot!" Then we sat down at the table and he took off his jacket, and I was like "woah, biceps"! Our dinner was great, there was great conversation. He paid and brought a bottle of wine. He does not drink wine normally, but he enjoyed it.He loves his kids so much which I love. We basically got kicked out of the restaurant so I went out on a limb and we carried our conversation to his truck for another hour and a half.
He did kiss me. And it was nice and sweet and I fully enjoyed it. And he didn't try any funny stuff. There will be a second date. And I am looking forward to it. It's not planned yet, I'm excited. We also thought up the oddest date idea I will tell you about tomorrow.
The craziest thing is he was at my house 2 and a half weeks ago. he's a plumber and apparently he did work for the other half of my house! What are the odds of that? I know its true because he showed me his work calendar and showed me a text. And apparently he left his hammer there. So he will be coming back.
My current conclusion is I need to be open-minded and take things slow. The way things happened with you-know-who and I was rare. Just because things aren't like that, doesn't mean they can't be great. So, I look forward to getting to know this guy and maybe it will work out, maybe it won't, but I will enjoy the ride.
Oh, this may sound trivial, but it was something someone else never did. On my way home he texted me to make sure I let him know when I get home safe. Small gesture, but one I appreciate a lot.
