RL, I'm sorry your Georgia birthday was called because of the rain, but there is always another birthday that will roll around. As for the heat and humidity, I don't find it to be much different than what we have in my area. Georgia is a beautiful state w/lots of history and visiting there never gets old.
You must have been traveling through the northern part of MD. Our trees in the southern area are just now starting to change. We lost quite a few do to very dry weather this year. The sugar maples are just now turning the beautiful gold/red colors for the fall. The other trees are still green and will be that way a while longer unless we get a hard frost.
Enjoy your time at the winery...but most of all...enjoy spending time w/Ginger. Life is far too short not to stop and smell the roses along the way.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
