I'm glad you had a nice weekend Job. Our vacation was really fun too, thanks. We did get to go to the ocean one day, and boy the undertow was so strong it was scary. Some of the roads were flooded from the storm surge, and it did rain quite a bit but just a couple of hours each day and night. I'm glad you're happy it rained LOL. The birthday boy getting so sick really put a pall over the last few days, but on the whole I think everyone had a really good time. You would have enjoyed it - lots of good food, a couple of museums, some wild ponies, the ocean, and good company!
Interestingly, while down there in the OBX, I got an email from my ex, with photos of a letter from the USCIS saying that they were denying his affidavit of support for RT, unless he could provide more documentation showing that his income is 3 times 125% of the poverty level, which comes out to a little over $60,000 per year. The man has not worked since 1994! The other option is for them to get a co-sponsor who makes enough money.
He asked if I would "take the case." I got a lot of good suggestions down there, and ended up telling him that his ex representing him and his green-card-seeking wife in their visa application would be a red flag that his marriage is fraudulent.
I did not repeat the snarkier funnier suggestions, but really really wanted to
