I did miss the point, thanks for clarifying. Definitely something I will look into. The association fee is pretty low so I am guessing it hasn't been raised in a long time, but I will ask them what their guidelines are regarding that.

I got to go in a friend's brother's unit last night. Very nice. It';s smaller than my place now, but much more practical. The layout makes things much more functional, especially the nice big kitchen. There is a HUGE walk in closet too. I guess I'll hear back from the mortgae agent sometime this week.

I'm a former realtor. You should ask for a copy of the association's financial records and plans and let an accountant take a look. You want to avoid a big hike in fees due to something happening.
