Cadet, I have not been pursuing. I've been much better. At first he moved forward with my nonpursuing, now he's more distant. Coincidence? It feels punitive. Is this the ugliness I was warned of?

Well things normally get worse before they get better.
As far as pursuit and detachment, just think of it like an onion with different layers, you have peeled a few layers off but there are many more that you have to get to.
I was trying to say on the last post that it is not your fault what he does. You are not responsible for him, only for YOU!
