Im not really sure what you mean by "confront her now and start distancing". I dont really see that as a plan. Confrontation is one thing, but it doesnt necessarily do anything without a plan to bac k it up.
I'd recommend you start by reading the book and starting at step 1. Then we can talk more clearly about your "options".
