9 days! That's awesome! Huge progress. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow for me. I actually stopped counting some days back and just looked it up in my calendar (I know it stopped after I spoke to the MC on the phone). And I've had a lot of interaction with H. Soon you will be there, too! So happy for you!

Laughing is great - so healthy on all levels. I've been laughing a lot with my son but until a couple of weeks ago, I had this sadness through my entire body that is just gone now. You know, I don't think it will come back. I think we can trust that if it does, it may be a little wave just lapping at our feet, not an over-the-head surge that leaves us drenched and gasping for air.

Retail therapy is great. And the chicken story is hilarious - it would have been in a kennel on a clear jello diet for 48 hours if it were my bird! They can be very fast - it makes complete sense to me that they descend from dinosaurs (raptors, I'm sure) and that the dinosaurs had wings (have you read about that?).

Keeping very busy and by the time I have a moment, I am spent and passing out to sleep.
You seem well the past few days and this is great to hear. Keep at it, you are growing stronger each day and I know that you will have abreast joy as you keep on marching forward down the path you are blazing.

Believe me, Painter, that little emerald-eating birdie went into immediate lockdown and I watched every bit of litter in her kennel for about 4 days until I had to go out of town. Either she kept recycling it (they're very attracted to shiny things, or it is/was stuck in her gizzard. I'm not proud. I would have happily cleaned and sterilized a filthy post-chicken pass-thru earring than to have gone with only one earring for the last year! That bird will never produce enough eggs in her lifetime to pay for my new pair of earrings.

SH, I still await your thoughts. It seems that everyone I know is exhausted these days, including myself.

Sotto, I've usually figured that OW is just as likely to be a victim as I am. She was marking territory that she didn't know wasn't ever really hers. I find it very unlikely that she realized what a good liar WH was/is, either, as no one would willingly choose such s person. I feel badly for her, but it's definitely better to find these things out in the first few months with a person, rather than after 25 years.

Well, I'm falling asleep here, too, as I was just struggling to keep my eyes open. Good night!

Hi! Sorry, I've been over scheduled again! The last few days I've been helping L-friend with the moving project, it's been super hot and humid(94 yesterday, 95 today- pretty stifling with the high humidity) and I'm just getting worn down. Plus, sleep has been hit or miss. Last night I got almost 7 hours, which was fantastic, but the night before, maybe 4 hours of broken sleep total?

Anyway, yes, I've been tired and also super busy.

Today, after helping with moving duries, I went to my second BAN (Beyond Affairs Network) meeting, and it was really good. There were 6 people there this time, and after the meeting 5/6 of us just relocated to Dunkin Donuts and kept right on talking. All told, the meeting lasted over 5 hours! One brand new person came, so it was good to be able to offer her some support.

So, I am super tired and I'm ready to turn it in again. It's nearly 2am, and I am pretty beat.

I hope everyone sleeps well, and dreamlessly if you have bothersome dreams.

So I am devestated. Tonight I got home from my meeting to find that my chickens were strewn all over my yard. Three completely missing, many very damaged. Piles of feathers everywhere. Bleeding and distressed birds. I heard two while they were being attacted by foxes and chased a fox off another one as it was squawking. I have 10 back in their coop, but I'm going to lose a bunch of those.

It's all my fault, too. I locked them out of their coop because I am so scattered lately, and the fox just picked them off while they were trying to hide in the dark. And they are all sopping wet from a storm that came in while I was gone. I feel horrible and alone.

Well, all 10 birds that I found and got back into the coop are still alive, but many are quite damaged. And yet they still have me three eggs this morning. Such brave good birds.
