Jeez, Kat, is your boss a complete a*hole? He sounds like the kindergarten bully.
It looks like you've learned when and where to pick your battles. The one I've really learned this past year is to avoid battles that are lost before they begin. There are some situations where I have a snowball's chance in hell of getting someone to consider my POV. Some people really don't want to learn new things or grow. Your boss sounds like one of those people.
