I loved my ex too, but are we wasting our time-this question always goes through my head. You have a wonderful friendship with your h and I can see how he does love you, maybe he will come around in his own time--how long have you been dbing? I wouldn't analyze everything physical thing such as hugging, open eyes, closed eyes, hand holding-how can you concentrate!!! You are driving yourself nuts things about all that stuff. You should just take things as there are, and they are good now, but be patient and it will get better with time--his time. Work on yourself and enjoy what you have now and things should slowly start turning your way.
Rottie, when my W and I ML, my favorite thing to do was to bury my face in the spot between her shoulder and neck, just below her ear, and nibble my way up to her mouth. I looked in her eyes on occassion, but we both usually had ours closed. I wouldn't put to much stock in your H not looking into yours.

Reread much of DB at lunch. Yes, I lost sight of the principles. I thought that I had them deeply ingrained enough that I shouldn't have to re-read them. Nope, I didn't. Yup, it has to be on H's time frame. Yup, I am lucky to have what I have now. Yup, it's only been 7 weeks of DB, and 6 months since the bomb. Yup, huge babysteps in the beginning of DB, but slower now. No wonder, I stopped doing what worked. Yup, I want it now, and I've committed the ultimate sin -Impatience Yup, sure am glad I re-read the instructin manual for this thing.
I think you are doing a great job!! Re-reading the manual helps. IMO dont stress over if H looks in your eyes or if he touches you during ML. Be thankful you ML! These are baby steps I see. You guys talk, laugh, and ML. The touchy feely stuff will happen, just BE PATIENT! LOL Hugs and Prayers
