I hear you. My W's mother once said that, between her two daughters and their husbands, I was the most responsible one of the four. My W got all pissed off, asked for examples. Her mom gave one, where I agreed to stay and watch about 6 kids during a vacation and let her and sister, etc., go have fun. My W said, "that doesn't mean he's responsible. He's just gullible."
