I would definitely consider the shingles vaccination. I could help protect against future breakouts. I can understand why dad is kind of short, it is painful, and frustrating.
I hope your abdominal pain is non of the above. If it's lower quadrant, it is less likely to be pancreatitis. Take it easy, you might be the one getting overstressed.....
