I cannot really give any words of wisdom regarding your H right now, but it seems like you guys are in an ok place-- not a great place, but not a bad place either. I think you should keep doing what you're doing, be a friend, the safe place and let him decide if its a place he wants to be. Cuz it seems like he likes to visit.
