OK - Elvis has left the building. I'm not going to lie, this is most crushing blow so far, but I was pleasant and told her she could drop the kids off Sunday. this hurt is different then before, more Sad then overwhelming anxiety. Which is good.

Day 1 of physical separation. I'm sitting here kind of stunned on how deafening the silence is. There's shadow on the walls where some pictures once hung. I know that this feeling will pass, but damn this is some painful [censored]. Please keep me in your thoughts.

Sorry man. I felt it and still feel it sometimes. 3 weeks today WW left. I have my son today but still have fleeting feelings of loneliness. It does get better buddy. Hang in there.

I struggle with how long I want to live this way. I want to share the rest of my life with W but I will not wait forever for her to "find herself". I really mourn the loss of a partner and family unit.

It has been good as I have become a much better father and and learning that I can function on my own. It's a much more difficult task but I am coping.

Keep plugging along for your children and let WW have her "space".

Hey JB

Just read your thread. I feel for you. I have a couple of months before my physical S starts. After reading on here how it hurts I am not looking forward to that pain.

We sold the MR house and going into both different houses.

Keep posting and you need to protect yourself with a S agreement. Do you even have an agreed date of S?. That is important for separation of assets and if W has any credit card debt she has. Talk to your lawyer.

Protect yourself and your kids. If she is stupid enough to leave you, be smart enough to let her. With a S agreement.

Sunday was the first day with just me and the boys last night. Wife texted me this morning
W: were the boys OK last night?
M: they were fine
W: OK. I'm worried. Thank you.

i hope i handled this correctly, i was so tempted to text more, but left it alone.

no need to make it longer. in fact you could just delay responding or not at all to unimportant texts like that.

This is where I get a little confused. Anything to do with the kids, I feel like I need to respond. Where do you draw the line of important and unimportant?

I really think you are over analyzing everything. This is a simple quick text about the kids. You said they were fine and that is it. No big deal

I am not a fan of the delaying response on purpose, I know people say that is to make them think you are busy or not waiting around on them. Ok whatever, but it isnt like she was prying on you.

Just live your life and deal with things as they come. When you get some real issues then you can think hard on it.

keep living in the moment

I'll admit I do over analyze things, I'm just trying to ask for peoples experience on anything in regards to communication with spouse. I'm very green on this separation stage.
