That is bad. Who is saying that you have to pay alimony? Alimony is not child support.
The state. I live in a very liberal state, the laws are all skewed. Even during separation, my WW will get a very high alimony (it's actually called "spousal support" versus "child support" here.) Most of the Left Coast have it. It works out to be about 32% of our total income together, while child support is only 12%. So she ends up with about 44% of MY income!
I can understand if my WW is a battered woman with no means constantly abused by her H, but she is a Wayward Wife who filed for divorce when her H confronted her with her betrayal!
Terrible!
