Sparkling not so bright

"I was just reminded about X. I hope you've taken care of that." sounds kind of patronizing to me.

"I was reminded about X and I thought I'd remind you too in case you haven't taken care of it yet " ??

Or what broke said " I was reminded about X in case you still need to take care of it."

(PS I feel really pathetic that I can't even figure out how to word a simple text...)
