I'm still looking for some signs of hope but I think reality is starting to settle in that he's just not coming back. I haven't turned my back on the possibility but frankly, what I want at this point doesn't really matter as it has no effect on the outcome. The only control I have is to say when the door is closed, it's entirely up to him to say he wants to try to walk through the door. And he's pretty clearly showing that he's not interested in that right now.
