Mleigh - you are such a good mom! What a blessing that your son is not centered on material things.

One of my friends has a super creative boy. The world will hear about him someday. I am sure! She bought him a professional microphone, like one radio professionals use (it was his only XMAS gift) and kids go over there and make tutotorials on Mods in Minecraft. She is quite savvy and told him he cannot use Star Wars music or Disney stuff in his videos, etc. She told him to watch his language and to know, that whatever he creates will be out there. He has risen to the challenge and they have made amazing videos. My son has learned a lot from making these videos!! I have been over there and there is much free flow of ideas, negotiating, editing, etc. It's certainly not mindless. Your h might be thinking of video games of old. If he saw it in action he would probably respect it more!
