I have had a thought in my head today. Last night when W wanted to tell me what was going on with car part of me wanted to listen. She wasn't looking for me to fix it or give advice. Just let me know I guess. I know I am not ere to guide her into what to do. However while she is in A should I still listen? DB makes me think no, my personality tells me to listen to people

The great thing about this forum is once you get something out there you can start taking a different train of thought.

While she is in A communication should only be about kids. Me feeling like it's ok to listen now and then is me holding onto R when that isn't an option right now. Hoping listening will bring her back.

I meant I am holding on by hoping listening will bring her back. I do not think listening will do anything but make us friends which is not what I want.

Yes, you should listen, but don't try to solve the problem. I just had an hour with my DB coach, and one of the most important things she said is to be strong, outgoing, cheerful, showing happiness and contentment. Don't be nasty, angry or cold. EVER.

that is the same thing my DB coach said. Even in an A you do not want to be bitter and show her what she wants to leave, you want to show her what she should not want to leave. Listening is great bending over backwards to help is not, IMHO.

I cannot wait until pay checks start rolling in again and I am caught up from school. I am going to find a way for some coaching. I have wanted to since I started DB just was unable to make it work.

Thank you for the advice NY and TimR. I struggle with knowing how to be friendly without being too overly friendly and how to detach without being cold and bitter.

I am still only 2 months into this and have a lifetime to go.

gal is such a life saver. The first couple of days this week were low with limited hilights. Then v- ball night roles around and I have been great since. Tonight a friend came over and we went to another friends bday. Had a few drinks and played cards against humanity. It was a blast. I have not played it before.

The down side is that I wanted to clean up te house, the mess will always be there. Time with friends will not. Hopefully MY car is fixed tomorrow and I can go get some groceries before I get my boys for a week! Excitedly nevrous about it.

I haven't been full time only parent with them for that long before. 3-4 days max. Now I am looking at 9-10 days. Should be interesting to say the least!

On the negative spectrum I find myself really wanting to pack up and get out of this area. I love my job and work however my boss is acting irrationally now because times are tough around here. His method of dealing with stress is spreading it around and it ticked me off today. For whatever reason he felt the need to display everyone's daily billed labour numbers vs what they need to be billing daily, and then changed his mind to just display mine and 2 other workers that just got back from school as well. The numbers I put up isn't an issue. I billed 1.5x what I "needed" to, it bothers me because I feel singled out because he thinks myself and te other 2 are a issue? Or we are weak links and this will motivate us? Well it does, out of anger for me tho. Just made me done with the bs at my employment.

To wrap up on a positive note. I got marks back. I got an 82% in my class room mark and an 86% on my final exam! 1% off my goal. I am very happy with the mark and also happy I don't have to do that course again! Haha.

Have a great night everyone. Everyday is filled with wonder, our job is to see it and appreciate it for what it is.

I like those 12 things, man!

Congrats on finishing school! Boss sounds like a little bit of a D-bag. Hopefully you get everything all squared away and you have some options to consider.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to stop in and update what little is going on.
I have been busy. It feels like I haven't been at home at all this week. Which is nice in a way. The downside is I feel like I am putting off house cleaning. Haha.

Going out with friends and doing things is doing great things for my mind set. I think if my sitch less and less. Don't get down and feel positive during the day.

I meet WW to get the boys for a week today! So I am excited and nervous about that. I haven't seen them in a couple weeks because I wanted to focus on school at the end of it. And contact with WW has been minimal, until she texted me last night.
It was a pic of S1 and stated he has an attitude and she is glad they are mine tomorrow, apparently he was throwing food and she took away te plate and fork and he was quite angry about that. We exchanged messages for a bit. Mostly about the boys and and I asked for things I needed. Asked if there is anything I needed to know about them or routines etc.

It was a civil exchange, I was on phone with D12 and S9 for part of it and apologized at one point for the long delay in answering WW because I was taking to them. She didn't ask how they are and that bothers me she has had no interest in her step children's lives.

We are meeting in a different spot than usual today as she is off to "see friends" or do whatever for the weekend. I know OM works in this place. No idea if he is there or not or if she will see him. I don't dwell on in. I will not mind read as to what she has planned or what she is doing. And it really doesn't bother me, a little but not as much as it used to. I have a busy week ahead of me and I am so excited to have the boys.

I find it funny she is going away when she claims money is tight. And tho I bring it up once and awhile she still hasn't discussed the money she owes me. And if what she says is true she is working 3 days a week. Not sure how she is affording to live right now. Not my problem tho.

Anyway. Off to work. Hope everyone's day is great.
