Love that you even call it retail therapy! Your WAS's have no idea what they are doing. Funny, loyal, dedicated and they like to SHOP. That's the total package. Too funny!

Shopping helped me too! (Still does and a little too much) Easily justified expense by the weight loss smile

Thornton, you are a man only a fool would leave. It's great seeing you do the work necessary to get through this. Your posts on all of our threads are insightful, positive, and very encouraging. I always take note of the advise you give. (You would make a great therapist). I hope by helping others you are also helping yourself.

Hope you have a nice Sunday.

I had a good workout today and was able to channel my anger into pushing the weights.

Washed the jeep and did a little more grocery shopping. I'm going to eat really clean and get back into great shape.

Now that the day is winding down, I'm missing W again.

I'm feeling a little guilty and ashamed I couldn't be a better partner to W. But I honestly tried my best to rectify things.

My family who knows W really well thinks she will never be happy with or without me. She had a rough childhood and when life gets hard, she runs.

They also said they don't think that she thinks she deserves happiness because of all of her guilt and shame from all the crap she's been through. I wish there was something I could say to talk some sense into her.

I just wish things were different.

Thorton, I know how it feels, remember your not alone in what you are going through. It's great to talk to family and friends and tho they try to make you feel better, deep down it doesn't make the pain go away.

It's hard to step back and let W be. It's hard not to try and fix things. your family aren't mind readers Thorton. They don't know if she's happy or not. Or if you can make her happy or not.

Time is our ally here. We need to utilize it for oursleves. I truly believe you are a man a fool would leave, it will get better tho.

We have had similar love lives buddy, first W stung a lot for a long time. I remember thinking i would never be happy again. We did get happy again buddy. It was hard, you lived tho and you will again.

I'm here to help you as is everyone here. Keep going, we will be ok!

The person that you will spend the most time with in your life is yourself, so make yourself as interesting as possible.

Thanks for the pep talk, Ty.

You see these old couples that have been together for 50 years. How in the hell did they do it???

Blows my mind.
