well, the whole depriving thing - that's about perspective, imo ... i used to think of it as being deprivation. it got a whole lot easier to stick to a diet when i changed my viewpoint from deprivation to looking at it as what do I want more ex. what do I want more today: to fit into my jeans more comfortably or to eat a bag of chips. behave accordingly. some days it is the bag of chips! some days it's the jeans. get where I'm going with this? it works for me, may help you. just passing it along ... with love xoxoxo
