I don't intend on sweeping anything under the rug. Today's convo was defiantly a good start on starting to air things out and talk about possible solutions to some things.

Ok, I am looking for some advise from somebody who has been down this road and successfully R'd after another person was involved. I had a sleepless night processing all that has happened recently. I really do feel I want to give her another chance and try to make this work (not telling her that, I know I have to make her prove herself more yet). The big issue I'm having right now is getting the vision of her with OM out of my head. It feels like a smack in the face every time.

Do these feelings calm down? I know time heals, but my question is what is the best way to try to move past that? I really want to forgive. I know I wasn't perfect and that pushed her to some of the things that transpired. It's just something that really bothers me...

I'm rooting for you uphill. Take it slow. You have to know that OM is out of her life for good. Otherwise she'll stay on the roller coaster and drag you along.

Hey Uphill,

Seeing that there are countless stories of couples R after being involved with OP, I'm sure with the passage of time, things get easier.

Just like the pain you had on the day she left, you slowly started feeling better and reconciling it in your mind.

Do a search for some of the successful men that have accomplished this: Mr Bond, Starksy, Denver

Nygal, thank you for stopping in and giving me some encouragement! It means a lot!

Thorn, thanks for the heads up on a few people who have. I have some reading material for tonight now!

Just came here to vent a bit, I have been locked back onto the rollercoaster of emotional highs and lows. Today XF seems off a bit. We had been having some very open, pleasant conversations. Today is almost like a part of her wall went back up. Doing my best to just let it be, but scared as he!! that she is teetering on what she actually wants?

Up,

Are you talking too much?

Remember you have to slowly reel her in. Don't scare away the squirrel.

Try to space out the times when you talk. Be unavailable sometimes. Keep the tension on the line.

You have to make her work for it IMO if you want it to take hold.

Hey uphill... it's tough.. them WW's are tough to figure out. I agree with Thornton though. Seems like you have to slow it down a bit. It'd be nice to get some of the vets to comment on how to go about piecing it back together. I am curious myself.
