On Friday my daughter 18 called me to come get her from a nearby town. She was supposed to be spending time with her friends. She was crying and told me that she fell down the stairs and scrapped her knees. Yesterday she confessed that she did not fall down the stairs but was riding in a car and they were going around a roundabout. She fell out of the car. She was very lucky that she did not get seriously hurt. I called and told my older daughter 26. I was unsure about telling my wife but I decided that she deserved to know and she needed to realize what would happen if something bad had happened and she left out kids and moved 500 miles away. I text her telling her about this situation. We were texting back and forth and she was very concerned and we seemed to be talking without arguing. Then she asked me if I had told our older daughter. I said, yes, I called her last night and told her. At that point she changed. She said, I guess I'm lucky you told me at all. She was mad because I told our daughter before her. I don't see that it matters who I told first. #1 she is so far away and she does not feel like family. My girls and I are very close. Our daughter was not hurt and I thought about not telling her because I didn't want to worry her but I felt she needed to know. I can not win for losing. it was almost like she caught herself getting along with me and she had to cause problems.
