Pam,

You are the best. I am feeling centered and self confident now. I'm content with whatever happens in my life.

I'm not going to be doing anything for the time being. I just need to get my head and heart to agree all of the time and I'll be ready to head down that path.

In the meantime, Mr. Wonderful is in pursuit mode. He's been calling to tell me little things and even came over the house tonight under the guise of wanting to help me out by taking D10 to gymnastics. WTF? He said he got out of his briefing early and wanted to help...

I just thanked him and pretty much went about my business. Really, I had nothing else to say. So on his way back to the apartment after watching D10 do gymnastics, he called me from his cell to tell me that she's really good.

?????

I've been watching her for 3 months now and I knew this. The kid is really athletic and loves it--why wouldn't she be? We had a brief convo about her athletic prowess and then signed off.

A more bizarre man cannot be found walking this earth...

you hit the nail on the head - persuit. He's looking for reasons to talk, and interract. He's not very confident at it, so he's trying different things. Go with it. It's a good baby step.

Hi Betsey!

Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday dear Bet-sey....
Happy birthday to you!

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

I've got mine coming up next Tuesday, and it looks lik H will be down here, at least in the morning, and I'm wondering whether he will bother to remember. Was also toying with the idea of suggesting lunch out, but fear a bad reaction But asking him would be acting 'as if'? I don't know. I'm confused. Perhaps I should go for the Wiley approach and let him know that I have plans with OTHERS for my birthday?

I look forward to hearing about your birthday celebrations together!

Betsey, I couldn't agree more. It doesn't seem like he's completely sure what will work, but he's definitely trying. It sounds good to me.

Happy Birthday!

Hi from the sunny shores of the Atlantic!!

Glad you're back and safe. Mr W. (not Mr. Winky this time) has earned this right to be confused. Allow him, as you are doing, to savor each and every terrifying moment.

He knows, as we see also, that there are few so pulled together, wonderful women to ever meet in one's lifetime. The pulling back you are doing must be a little scary for you. But with your resolve and determination, the best things for YOU will come about.

Well, back to this terrible grind of having to PLAY, PLAY, PLAY. What a day, what a day!!!

Kitti--I just posted on your thread. Welcome back!

Bill--Thanks for your encouragement.

LNL--You crack me up! Thanks for your colorful birthday message. You're awfully creative... No wonder we have so many parallels. Another Aries sister!

CBH--If you're reading this, I know your birthday is upon us as well. I hope you make it a happy one.

Okay, so I share my birthday here in the US with Tartan Day. I'm happily wearing my mother's clan plaid, and even happier to report that I've been able to take in the side belt straps another notch. Life is good here!

When I walked downstairs to the kitchen, Mr. Wonderful was reviewing D10's math homework. He smiled and wished me a happy birthday. So far this has already beat his attempts last year! I got in my car to find a card on my dashboard.

He wrote something pleasant, though I've had more warm messages from really close friends. He commented that he thought of my mother when picking out the card ( ) and told me that I was catching up with him???

Oh well, he acknowledged it and that's a good thing. My positive for the day. We have no plans nor has he said anything about making them. Today is my day to take the girls to RE. After that, D10's got her art exhibit at the library and we're heading over there to see what wondrous project they are displaying. Then I promised to take them out to eat, because I'm not cooking.

That's it from my corner of the ocean for now. I'm still trying to catch up here at work... but I'll report anything of significance if I get it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Betsey

Happy Birthday Betsey-

My mesaage for the day.

When criminals in this world appear
And break the laws that they should fear
And frighten all who see or hear
The cry goes up both far and near
For Underdog! Underdog! Underdog! Underdog!

Speed of lightning, roar of thunder
Fighting all who rob or plunder

Underdog. Underdog!

When in this world the headlines read
Of those whose hearts are filled with greed
Who rob and steal from those who need
To right this wrong with blinding speed
Goes Underdog! Underdog! Underdog! Underdog!

Speed of lightning, roar of thunder
Fighting all who rob or plunder
Underdog. Underdog!

Btw, you can thank heavens you don't share your B-day with my Sweet Polly. Ejoy the day!

Merrick

Keep on fighting the good fight.

Merrick,

I was just about to log off when I saw your message... I'm ROTFLMAO. You are beyond hilarious!

No, but your Polly Purebred shared a birthday with my college roomie, who is also a Betsy. She doggone near made it to share mine, but had to be different...

Unfortunately, Aries women have some really negative traits. I'll pray that Polly Purebread (aka Mrs. Damien Merrick) gets the divine bonk and sees the light to mend her ways.

I'm reading your thread... just haven't posted.

Happy day to you too!

Betsey,
I stupidly forgot to say in my e-mail-
Happy Birthday!
May all your wishes come true. I can't think of anyone who deserves that more! Well, o.k., Meredith too. But, it's YOUR day!

P.S. You don't look a day over 29.
