She knows the reason. I've been very honest with her, so has my ex without giving too much away. I know he hasn't thrown me under the bus or anything.

I think I'll just play it cool. Be nice and upbeat. I can always vent to you guys here.

Yes, nice and upbeat. And let her see that you are strong and competent and that you have a life, and are moving on. But that it's not your choice to leave this M? Be the woman anyone would be a fool to leave!

Feel especially sad today.
I can't believe he left me. I lost the two most important men in my life in less than a year. Feel so sad and lonely today. And I even have company.

Gmum, I think a lot of us are having a really hard day today. I don't know why, but I can hardly believe this is my life now. I can't believe she left me either. When can we wake up from this nightmare?

Maybe if someone out there could share some success stories, that would help. I know that those who are able to save their marriages are not likely to be on here anymore, but sometimes it just gets so discouraging. I want patience, and I want it now!

Uggh.

My gut tells me he's not coming back though. We've been unhappy for too long and he has so much anger and resentment towards me. And his affair is too hot and passionate to crash and burn any time soon. But it would have ended even if there was no OW. He's been building up to it. She was just the final nail in the coffin.

NYGal, I I feel the same way. I can't believe I have to move in a week and then again in six months to a different country.
I feel for you, but there is so much hope in your situation. I can't offer you any advice, Wonka and Azzork's got that covered, but I just have a very positive feeling regarding you and your W. Try to stay positive, remember what you put out there is what you get back. Easier said than done, I know. I'm certainly not a ray of sunshine today.

Gmum...I'm Sorry you're feeling so sad today. As for MIL I would be honest if she asks. As for success stories, Pink told me to read up on TO324. It was a long journey so a lot of reading if you start from her last page (which is her first thread). I'm still not done smile

Her husband had a similar view to yours. He was unhappy before ow. Said his wife belittled him, emasculated him especially when it came to finances and was "never happy". She admitted he was justified in much of what he was saying.

He started an EA then left the home and started the PA and lived with ow. He and ow would post pics on FB and she was devastated. They have 2 small boys who took the S hard.

He saw the boys only 3 hours a week. Barely helped financially but found a way to go away with ow every weekend.

She GALed and went dim and never ever mentioned ow (unlike me-sigh). Though she almost lost it when ow broke up with him and he posted on FB that ow was the only time he had ever known true and real love. (she was the only one that understood him where his wife did not apparently)

Anyhow he ended up wanting to R and moved back home (suddenly ow was the biggest mistake of his life go figure). Things were great for a few months then very rocky. (this is the thread i am on now).

I first read from just this thanksgiving....before I decided to start at the beginning. .... that things were great and they are happy and in love again. So they did work it all out eventually.

Hope that helps on the success story front ladies.

Thanks goes to Pink for pointing me in that direction. But it is nice to have a recent success story doesn't it?

I'm glad I could help Gmum.
