We have a cnc plasma table at my shop. We outfitted a router on it this weekend and cut out some sign letters out of plexiglass. It made a horrible mess but the finished product was nice. We are going to try some wood next just for sh!ts and grins.
I do a lot of mug and fluxcore welding on steel and stainless. We don't use stick much unless we are doing something out of the shop. I have been tig welding for about 20 years now and still learn something new every time. You'll know when you're getting the hang of it when you start getting into the thinner stuff. I'm the only one at the shop who can even think about welding 20 gauge stainless.
