Rx Bars are simply bars like Power Bars only made by the company Rx Bars. I have no affiliation to them. Google them to order. They use 4 ingredients only! That's it. And their packaging is a list of the ingredients on the front, nothing else. That's my kind of company.
As for protein shakes, I do take them. I try not to use them as meal replacement but as something immediately after working out. I may have to go an hour after a workout before I can get a meal in me so a protein shake is a great post workout option.
Another strengthener for you all that are in cold climates and or restarting a workout program is to do - wall sits. Sit against the wall like you were sitting in an imaginary chair. Only go to parallel with the floor and no lower and try not to use your arms for support. You can make a rule like every time you text someone it has to be in that position.
It's all about starting and doing things consistently that are different to change your body.
Here's to a lean and healthy 2016 for all DB'ers.

My trainer took the body pump class today, usual crew are away practising for the les mills new classes launch tomorrow.
He moutheD at me double those weights on the squat track, then indicated up your weights! After the session he said to me V you need to push these weights more. You are not lifting enough, you should be the one woman in the class with the highest weights. No excuses!
That's telling me straight. If I keep doing that which I have always done I will keep getting the same lack of results.
So, it's time to up my game, get into the gym and also do more spinning.
I dug out some old sports tops and the old T shirts are being junked. I bought some leggings but they are toooooo big. Time to buy a 10. That cheered me up a lot.

Thanks PP.... might have to start the protein back up again and I will def check out the Rx bars. Do you have a brand you recommend for protein? I actually forget what I used before but was using an isolate.
Wall sits are the best! Speaking of that... I think it is time for the gym!
V, I absolutely LOVE the les mills body pump classes! I can't find them in my area but I used to do those and body flow and they were my all time favorites. Congrats on the smaller size!
I am reading this thread in my exercise clothes. I guess I should get up and do some exercise.
Fo Les Mills all started in little old NZ. The classes are great! The Les Mills gyms themselves are super snobby here in NZ- you need to have the right clothes, and be the right size just to walk in the door (the lululemon crowd if you no what I mean). Lots of the A-list NZ celebs in them.
I start back at the gym tomorrow morning, first session with PT, Mon/Wed 6am. Tues rest day, Thursday spin, friday rest: 30km bike ride Sat/Sun or alternatively spin. Off to buy some new gym gear to give me a little confidence. This is all going to hurt for a little while.
Congrats everyone. And V, nice going! I am still walking daily and tried to engage my core starting yesterday (during my walk as well as throughout the day on and off). My diet is also going very well. Next I want to incorporate planks and scissor crosses. Im starting slow. Can you tell?
