You h isn't too concerned about his driver's license right now. It could be he's focusing on work or he could be sitting in a dark corner...but no matter what's going on, we can't assume anything when it comes to someone in crisis. Sounds like he's spent quite a bit of money on golfing fees, i.e., especially if he doesn't have a lot of work coming in. Maybe golfing is going to be his way of working thru some of his depression. No one really knows what goes thru their minds. Heck, they don't even know what they are going to do or say in the next 5 minutes. But, you will need to continue to monitor the bank accounts, especially if it affects your joint account.

As for the lawyer. He may have asked too many questions about your situation, but he also may have need certain info to work up a document for you. Technically, he shouldn't discuss anything that you told him w/anyone else. He may not have read your email before he sent the draft or his secretary could have sent it to you for review while he was w/another client.

You have to be careful when you go for consultations. They can get a bit pushy and try to sway you to their way of thinking. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Not all lawyers are like that.

Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to.
The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
