A great exercise for your abs is the plank position.

Think of the top position of a push up or the same position only your elbows/forearms and hands are on the ground too.

If you want to make this position more effective, flex your butt, quads, and chest at the same time. Pretend like someone is going to come around and hit you all over your body and you need to protect yourself from the blows. You can do these for 20 seconds at a time with 20 - 30 seconds rest any time you have a quick break and they'll strengthen a lot of muscles without any worry about injury from range of motion.

I bet 50 American dollars that Lady V is still quite the head turning, she must have been the cause of many a traffic accident 15 years ago!
