Feeling Numb

Had a great time at the annual meeting. People were congratulating me on running the club so well despite my year. It was hard to hear as I don't normally like attention on me, but I accepted it with a simple thank you, which in the past I would have just blushed and walked away.

Son had a much harder time saying goodbye to dad tonight. Anyone have suggestions to help with this transition? He just kept asking dad to stay in the house and not leave. What do I say? Do?
