I've been cleared by the cardiologist to begin exercising. The good news is that my heart is functioning correctly. The bad news is that these palpitations are now part of my permanent reality. My function didn't drop overall. My blood pressure is still way too high, so he's starting there. He says he could tell every time I got stressed when I was wearing the heart monitor, because it literally had a build-up to the jolt, and then it would settle down again. He couldn't tell the why, but he could see the result.
I'm happy with the news. I was terrified they were going to put a pacemaker in. He says not yet. The benefit isn't outweighing the risk. If I can get in shape, I may be able to function on a normal level. That, that is my goal! To not be terrified because I have heart failure and my heart is skipping beats. How wonderful would that be?
